I sought validation in your eyes, until I realized,
I lost sight of my own worth, my own prize.
Considerate of your feelings, while mine remain ignored,
I’ve poured my energy into feeding your ego, restored.
Now you treat me as just another fool,
Your thoughts prevail, while mine stay cool.
I see through your being, but you won’t reciprocate,
I see through your actions, while mine I isolate.
My heart once felt deeply, until you misled,
Causing pain and leaving it stained red and bled.
Technically, it’s your fault, for painting it red.
My love is null and void, disheartened and dead.
