By the river’s edge

You led me to the ocean’s shore,
Guided me through the golden sand.
Cleansed my soul with the saltwater,
And helped me find my inner stand.

You led me to the ocean’s shore,
Promised a peaceful calm,
A place where I could find my core,
And let go of all the qualms.

You led me to the ocean’s shore,
Where I saw my true reflection.
Encouraged me to love myself more,
And embrace my imperfection.

You led me to the ocean’s shore,
And I will forever be in debt.
For showing me what I was searching for,
And helping me find my inner reset.
