Path to Liberty

Does our nation embody
Freedom’s light?
Working till our eyes,
Can’t resist the call to dream.

Taxed to build a better,
Future for all to share.
I ponder if they hear our voice,
Not just a whisper but a,
Cry for change.
Love regained.
Chains of oppression breaking,
Liberating every hand.
Democracy’s embrace.

No wonder why our brethren,
Rise.
Empowered and determined,
Justice seekers unite.
The scars of violence,
A product of corrupt power.
But transformation begins from within,
Our political halls.

Guide us forward.
Oh, yes.
Lead us towards liberty.
