The pain that we feel deep inside
Is what keeps us unified
It brings us both joy and sorrow
And leads us to thoughts of tomorrow
Should we choose to depart
We’ll lose the joy along with the hurt
But if we stay and weather the pain
Perhaps we’ll find sunshine after the rain
Our path can lead us to freedom
Yet, it’s a choice we must make with wisdom
Choosing wrongly can lead to fights
And dark, sleepless nights
True love, they say, can lift us up
Bearing us to heights unknown
But in that journey we might find
Painful truths that leave us prone
So choose wisely, my love, and know
That pain and love are two sides of one flow
Together we must travel, hand in hand
And find in each other’s hearts a place to stand.
